Who We Are?
The Federation of Hazara Councils of Australia (FHCA) works to promote human rights, equality, inclusion, and meaningful participation for people of Afghanistan, including Hazara and other marginalised and underrepresented communities. Through advocacy, cultural engagement, social participation, and policy dialogue, we contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and cohesive Australia while advancing human dignity and opportunity nationally and internationally.
The FHCA is a dedicated team of professionals and advocates with diverse expertise across community development, public policy, social justice, human rights, and international relations. Our leadership and wider network bring together a range of perspectives, experiences, and skills, united by a commitment to inclusion, equality, human dignity, and meaningful participation.
We believe in the power of collaboration and community-led action to create positive change. Through our collective knowledge, partnerships, and experience, we work nationally and internationally to support people of Afghanistan, including marginalised and underrepresented communities, while contributing to a more inclusive, just, and connected Australia and world.
Our advocacy extends beyond Australia through active engagement with national and international forums on human rights, humanitarian affairs, refugee rights, migration, and social justice. FHCA contributes to international dialogue and seeks to amplify the voices and concerns of people of Afghanistan, including Hazara and other marginalised and underrepresented communities. Through participation in forums such as the United Nations Human Rights Summit, we work to promote human dignity, equality, justice, and meaningful policy action at national and international levels.

FHCA is a community-based organisation bringing together diverse perspectives and interests within Australia’s multicultural landscape. We are committed to providing independent, informed, and constructive perspectives to a broad range of stakeholders, including governments, non-governmental organisations, the private sector, community associations, civil society, and not-for-profit organisations. Through engagement and collaboration, we seek to contribute to informed decision-making, strengthen partnerships, and advance inclusion, equality, and community wellbeing nationally and internationally.
